However, what we don't really know at that stage is that the elders (read Authority) holds the power to shape us - by making us do certain things, making us believe certain principles, etc. This is a list of things your teachers would have never wanted you to see, things that are very real and very hard to believe!

It is true that they say - like Father, like Son!

If we have survived our childhood, it has been in a way because of this man and his vision. And who would have thought that soon there would be an empire built around selling funny comical creatures to kids and adults alike? Well, Walt Disney did and how!

Who would have known trimming down some moustache would lead to the world's most terrorizing period?

Well, not literally. But in this photo from his younger days in the army, Adolf Hitler not just looks sharp and keen to take on the world, but also if we may say, a tad bit attractive. Cut to the poster image of the Hitler Era. Not a good change, is it?

This picture takes us back to the Armenian Genocide of 1915 when the Ottoman authorities rounded up, arrested, and deported about 270 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders, from Constantinople (now Istanbul) to the region of Ankara. Most of these people were eventually murdered. The genocide was carried out during and after World War I and implemented in two phases—the wholesale killing of the able-bodied male population through massacre and subjection of army conscripts to forced labour, followed by the deportation of women, children, the elderly, and the infirm on death marches leading to the Syrian Desert. Gruesome much? Well, you should try reading up on this!

August 6, 1945, is surely a dark day that the world has witnessed. Even though Egos had ruined many a countries and taken many a lives before this, this particular day was the worst kind of warfare the world had ever seen and it unanimously mourns the incident even today. But what about those who suffered during this power struggle? The US Army dropped atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki thereby ending the war against Japan and killing thousands of people and scarring the life of the survivors for the days to come. This man showed his scars 6 years after the bomb had fallen in Hiroshima. We wonder if the scars on their bodies and minds will ever heal...guess we know the answer too well!
